Parallel Marketing

Roy Williams, in his Wizard of Ads, presents the concept of Business Topology. Jay Abraham calls it something else (I forget what). But it’s powerful.

The concept is to look at businesses and industry unlike yours that have a ‘similar’ marketing problem, and look for methods, frameworks, strategies and tactics that worked for them.

Henry Ford discovered the assembly line and squashed the competition because he discovered meat slaughter houses did the same thing in a ‘deassembly’ process. He applied this division of labor to his assembly process.
